Vérité Retail · THE SHELF

Getting onto an American shelf
is the easy part.
Staying on it is not.

End-to-end U.S. market entry for international and emerging houses — compliance, pricing, buyer access, launch, and sell-through.

Where a house can sell

Six channels. One partner.

We don't sell you a channel. We tell you which one your house belongs in — and we place it there.

Department stores
National prestige floors, with the assortment and animation calendar they expect.
Specialty beauty
Multi-door chains where sell-through per door decides whether you stay.
Spa & hospitality
Hotels, resorts and destination spas — treatment-led, high margin, quietly large.
Medspa & clinical
Physician-led accounts where efficacy claims and protocols matter more than packaging.
Independents
Curated boutiques and regional groups — the fastest way to prove a house sells.
Travel retail
Airports, cruise and duty free, where price architecture is set before you arrive.

And the ones most agencies won't touch

Spa. Hotel. Medspa. Independent.

Department stores and specialty chains are the straightforward part — one vendor portal, one calendar, one set of rules. These four are none of that. Every account has its own owner, its own protocols, and often its own licensing requirements for anyone who touches a client's skin. Most staffing agencies decline the work because it doesn't scale.

We built for it. Our people don't only sell a jar — they can perform the treatment.

Spa & hospitality
Hotels, resorts and destination spas. Treatment-led, high margin, and rarely covered by anyone — which is exactly why a house gets remembered there.
Medspa & clinical
Physician-led accounts where efficacy and protocol matter more than packaging. We place people who can hold that conversation.
Independents
Curated boutiques and regional groups, one owner at a time. Slow to open, loyal once open — and the fastest way to prove a house sells.
Why it matters to you
This is where prestige and clinical brands earn their margin, and where a house gets discovered long before the national doors ever call.

Two people, not a switchboard. You deal with us directly, from the first buyer conversation to the sell-through numbers a season later.

Korean and Japanese houses face this hardest of all. The product rarely needs defending — the queue outside a K-beauty door proves that. What stops a launch is everything around it: FDA registration and labelling written for a different market, a price that has to survive American margins and promotional calendars, and a shelf with nobody standing in front of it in a country where the brand has no name yet. We handle all three, and we stay for the fourth.

A buyer meeting is not a market entry. Between the first yes and a reorder sit compliance filings, price architecture, a launch plan and someone who makes sure the product actually moves. We have taken European houses through all of it, and we stay past the launch.

01
Compliance and readiness
FDA registration, labelling, ingredient review, insurance and vendor set-up. The unglamorous work that stops a launch dead if it is done late.
02
Price architecture
What your product must retail for to survive American margin expectations, promotional calendars and the discounting your competitors will do around you.
03
Buyer access
Warm introductions to the right buyer in the right channel — not a mass mailing. We only open a door we believe fits the house.
04
Launch and sell-through
Assortment, training, animation calendar, and our own people on the floor for the first weeks. Then the numbers, door by door.
TRACK RECORD

We have brought European houses into the U.S. market and taken American brands into channels they had never sold in — from niche fragrance to clinical skincare. Wherever a house comes from, the American shelf works the same way, and we know how.

The Vérité Retail portal

Entering a market you can't see
is how houses lose money.

Every client gets their own portal. Not a monthly deck — a live view of where your house actually stands, door by door.

Sell-through, per door
What moved this week, in which store, at what price. The number that decides whether you are reordered.
Stock and testers
Counted on every visit. An out-of-stock hero product costs you more than a missed launch date.
Field reports and photos
Your shelf as your customer sees it — filed the same evening, not summarised a month later.
Launch and compliance status
Where each door stands in the entry sequence, and what is still open on your side.

Most houses entering the U.S. rely on what a distributor chooses to tell them. You will not have to.
